Victor first explored designing by cutting up, mixing and sewing together his father’s old sweaters. That initial exercise has become part of the Victor Glemaud brand DNA, as each piece features a signature cut-out somewhere in the design. Prior seasons have drawn inspiration from Lucio Fontana, a concept that carries through now but in an evolved way. Spring was inspired by the idea of a Parisian woman — bright, chic, global. Victor played with negative space to accentuate lovely parts of the body not often seen, like the nape of the neck and the collarbone. This sweater highlights the décolleté, a beautiful feminine feature and a word that only exists in French.
